Participation of teachers and students of the UNESCO Chair in the annual conference of the European network of science centres and museums Ecsite2023

On June 15-17, the delegation of the UNESCO Chair on Science Education takes an active part in the annual conference of the European network of science centres and museums Ecsite2023 (Valetta, Malta). The department's participation in the event is implemented thanks to the department’s strategic partner ‒ the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which is a member of this authoritative organization. Ukraine from the department is represented by the coordinator of the Chair, President of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Stanislav Dovgyi, teachers of the department - Denys Svyrydenko and Vasyl Dunets, as well as students of the master’s program “Science Education and Communication" Mariia Dubrova and Anna Makarova. While the teachers participate in the development of academic partnership with the participants, develop agreements regarding the support of Ukrainian science centers and museums in wartime, our students undergo trainings “Critical change through Art & Science”, “Neurodiversity in Science Communication”, “Organization design for science centers” delivered by the European experts in the field of science communication. A separate panel devoted to the development of science education and science centers in Ukraine under martial law was also held as part of the event, in which presentations were given by teachers and students of the Chair.
