The second coordination meeting to support the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine.

Today, the UNESCO Chair on Science Education took part in the Second coordination meeting in support of the safeguarding of Ukrainian intangible cultural heritage, organized by the UNESCO Headquarters.
The participants discussed the ongoing safeguarding actions for Ukrainian intangible cultural heritage coordinated by UNESCO (“Assessing the needs of living heritage safeguarding among displaced communities from Ukraine in five neighbouring countries: Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia”; “Supporting the resilience of Ukrainian school children through enhancing awareness of their living heritage”, etc.). Also, the on-going initiatives for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in Ukraine shared by participants from Ukraine were discussed.
The event had high-level representatives of the institutions who pay attention on the safeguarding of Ukrainian intangible cultural heritage (UNESCO’s Secretariat of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, UNESCO Desk in Kyiv, Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to UNESCO, Slovak Academy of Sciences Ukrainian NGOs who professionally operate in the sphere of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding, etc.)
