Visit of UNESCO Technical Mission on Education

On September 29, 2022, the UNESCO Chair on Science Education was visited by the UNESCO Technical Mission on Education. The mission included Director of the Education 2030 Sector Ms. Maki Katsuno-Hayashikawa, Ms. Yayoi Segi-Vltchek, Head of the Sector for Migration, Displacement, Emergencies and Education, Ms. Paula Klenner-Forttes, Program Specialist of the Sector for Migration, Displacement, Emergencies and Education.

The meeting was attended by Rector of the University Viktor Andrushchenko, President of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair on Science Education) Stanislav Dovhyy, Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the "UNITWIN / UNESCO Chair" program in Ukraine Yurii Svatko, Director of the Institute of Gifted Children of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Maksym Galchenko, representative of the National Commission for UNESCO Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Nina Kramareva, head of the UNESCO Chair on Science Education Denys Svyrydenko and department employees. The Ukrainian side reported on the activities of the UNESCO Chairs before and during the war, emphasizing the damage caused to the work of the departments by russian military aggression, and discussed the possibilities of UNESCO to support the activities of the Ukrainian network of chairs.
