Establishment of the Museum of Science and Innovation in Lviv

A horrible war was forced upon Ukraine, severely disrupting our lives. Still, every employee of the UNESCO Chair on Science Education (each in their own way) is trying to help Ukraine. While we’re still attempting to get back to normal and carry on with the Chair’s usual research and educational activities, nobody’s being idle. We are all making our possible effort to support various humanitarian causes, help our students and Ukrainian citizens in need. 

In addition to the involvement in the civic activities in Lviv Region, the Chair tries to contribute to the science education development following the Chair’s mission. In Lviv (an ancient part of Lviv city has been enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Chair staff makes the possible volunteer contribution to the establishment of the Museum of Science and Innovations in collaboration with the Chair’s key academic partners (Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Gifted Child of NAPS of Ukraine). 

The future Museum opening is a valuable initiative of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This institution shares the equipment with the Lviv community and displaced families trying to provide access to the modern science education devices from the Museum of Science of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv). The project is realized in fruitful collaboration with the Lviv Polytechnical University (Tech StartUp School) and the Museum of Interesting Science (Odesa).
