Euroweek in the professional development of the UNESCO Chair
The beginning of July proved to be a significant milestone for the teaching staff of the UNESCO Chair on Science Education, marking a crucial step in professional development and international cooperation. The teachers from the Chair, Denys Svyrydenko and Vasyl Dunets, participated in a series of scientific events and meetings in Brussels. The agenda of the trip included:
• participation in the reporting conference on the project "Road-STEAMer" (development of an action plan to support STEAM in the field of science education), funded under the Horizon Europe program;
• participation in the conference "STE(A)M ATLAS event 2025", which presented three roadmaps for the development of STEAM education in Europe;
• meeting with Anne Desmetre, coordinator of educational programs of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS), a powerful natural history museum in Belgium;
• meeting with the representative of the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission, Maria Podlasek-Ziegler, and the project manager of the European Research Executive Agency of the European Commission, Roberta Monachello, on expanding cooperation with Ukraine within the framework of European initiatives.
The events were implemented through close cooperation between the Chair and the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as the European Network of Science Centers and Museums (Ecsite).
