Invitation to an event to support the intangible heritage of Ukraine
Dear students, postgraduates, and teachers interested in Ukraine's living heritage! On April 24, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., the National Center of Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum" (Kyiv, 19 Lavrska St.) will host an extraordinary event ‒ the opening of the exhibition “Ikanycha: Pysanka of Mariupol”. The event is the first physical exhibition after the destruction of the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore as a result of Russian aggression. The exhibition is also important in light of promoting Ukrainian intangible heritage because, in 2024, UNESCO included the element “Pysanka, Ukrainian tradition and art of decorating eggs” in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
