Opening of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “STEAM education: from theory to practice” (June 12 - 14, 2024)

Today was the opening of the International Scientific and Practical Conference, which annually gathers researchers and practitioners of STEAM education from all over Ukraine, the main organizer and initiator of which is the Institute of the Gifted Child of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. This time, the event is distinguished by a broad representation of foreign experts who presented reports and practical experience, which is attractive for developing Ukrainian science education. Among the extensive program of speeches, the following issues are discussed: evolution from STEM to STEAM; design thinking technologies in STEAM; opportunities of AI for STEAM education; inclusive STEAM pedagogical approaches; analysis of STEAM world best practices, etc. It is pleasant that the Chair traditionally takes an active part in the work of the event and is its co-organizer.
