Round table “Practice of the protection of Hutsul ornament. Education tools”

The Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in close cooperation with the UNESCO Chair, has been implementing educational programs to develop young people’s cultural awareness for a long time. In this direction, the Hutsul ornament occupies a separate and significant place ‒ the students of the Junior Academy research it; thematic events and master classes are held; in practice, art and sciences are integrated (mathematics through Hutsul ornament, etc.); digital tools are being developed for the use of ornament elements in solving applied design problems, etc.

A round table “Practice of the protection of Hutsul ornament. Education tools” was held today. In the online format, the experts of the profile Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, recognized researchers in the field of living heritage, representatives of branch academies and educational institutions, museum workers and ornament bearers, public activists from all over Ukraine have met ‒ all those who care about the future of Ukrainian culture in conditions of military aggression. Such cooperation of stakeholders inspires further actions, the purpose of which is to preserve the Ukrainian culture through the active implementation of the principle of learning through living heritage promoted by UNESCO worldwide.
