UNESCO Chair representatives at the Web Summit Qatar 2024

At the end of February, the UNESCO Chair on Science Education delegated the lecturer, Ph.D. Frol Revin to partake in the digital education section as part of the Web Summit Qatar 2024. As event organizers mentioned, this year they expected 12,000+ attendees, 400+ investors, and 1,000+ startups on the event in general. The event (especially its educational aspect) brought together numerous leading companies and university representatives allowing all to showcase and exchange their innovative learning and teaching solutions like fully digital classrooms, immersive VR, educational AI robotics, etc.

The Chair was likewise fortunate to make the acquaintance of Dr. Michael Phillips, Director of the UNESCO Center in TVET and Sustainable Development Applied Research, Innovation and Economic Development at the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) as well as share experiences and discuss future prospects of cooperation with representatives of the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council responsible for Qatar 2030 National Innovation Strategy.
