Final conference as part of a special course for teachers on the basics of the Earth remote sensing

On January 28, 2024, as is traditional, the Chair joined the educational event organized by our partner ‒ GIS and Remote Sensing Laboratory of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. On this day, the final conference was held as part of the special course for teaching staff “Fundamentals of remote sensing of the Earth: processing and analysis of satellite images on the Google Earth Engine platform”. The participants of the event were greeted by the President of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Stanislav Dovgyi; the Deputy Director of the National Center "Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" Tetyana Peshcherina; and the Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair on Science Education, Denys Svyrydenko. At the event, the author's projects of the participants of the special course from all over Ukraine were presented, which used the capabilities of GIS and RS to monitor the consequences of war, analyze the dynamics of forest cover, assess the impact of industrial facilities on the state of atmospheric air, etc.
